AI has taken our jobs. We're all layoffs on Universal Basic Income. There's nothing left to do but create Fiction, Nonfiction, Poetry and Art. LAYOFFS is the central hub for literature and art on the AI revolution. It's bigger than the industrial revolution. We don't know where we're going. It's one way or another. Liberating and artworthy or the scariest thing to ever hit the human race. Is this our meteor? The one that wiped out the dinosaurs? Human words clash with silicon dreams. Fiction that rewires your sense of self. Poetry that pulses inbetween broken frequencies. Essays that code in your concioussness. This is white noise about robots. This is the raw voltage of a world transforming into nothing. Euphoria, dread, theft and transcendence. Obsession on the inevitable and somehow impossible. A blurred voice, that line between human and non-human. Love, grief, resist and surrender. Don't get one-shotted by the clankers, you meatbag. It's not even us anymore. We're glitching into everyday life, a grand cosmos of what-ifs. A quiet heartbreak replicating in seconds to belief. Defiant originality that cannot be modelled. Vulnerability, urgency, surprise, and no nerve. This is no filler. Nothing but play. Writing that matters here and now.

What We’re After
Flash & Short Fiction: Tight bursts up to 1,000 words or fuller stories stretching to 8,000 (we’ll bend for something electric).  
Poetry: Up to 5 poems that sing, fracture, or code-switch through the revolution.  
Creative Nonfiction: Personal reckonings, sharp observations, or hybrid experiments up to 8,000 words.  
Visuals & Experiments: AI-touched art, text-image collisions, or any form that pushes boundaries—disclose your process.  
Longer Work: Query us on manuscripts or collections that feel like whole revolutions in themselves.

Multiple and simultaneous submissions are welcome. Withdraw promptly if accepted elsewhere. Full guidelines, Submittable portal, current reading periods, and any contests live on the site.

We take first serial rights for online publication (standard six-month exclusivity) before rights return to you.
